Arctic Marine Tourism: Shipping analysis and Best Practices Guidelines

The project Arctic Marine Tourism: Shipping analysis and best practices Guidelines will seek to build on existing knowledge and experience on the rapidly growing sector of marine tourism. It is so far the only project aiming at tourism within the Arctic Council.

The project will include two work packages (phases) where the first will focus on providing a status report on marine tourism and another on best practices for the industry and other stakeholders.

This project was approved of by Iqaluit 2015 Ministerial Meeting and has similar aims as the Arctic Shipping Best Practice Information Forum, previously supported by the Nordic Arctic cooperation program and is a priority project during the Icelandic Chairmanship year in Arctic Council.
