Arctic Coastal Adaptation

– Capacity Building and Knowledge Exchange Across Borders

The overall aim of this proposed project is to connect early career researchers from different scientific disciplines with youth from Arctic Nordic coastal communities to share state of the art and traditional knowledge and best practices for adaptation strategies in the Arctic coastal areas to respond to permafrost thaw.

The long-term goals of the proposed project are to create and contribute to sustainable development in the Arctic by researching out to smaller stakeholders via capacity building activities, and to create a platform for knowledge exchange thus helping to develop effective adaptation strategies through co-design with local Arctic communities.
